Patrick Ridge qualified from Bristol in 1996. He initially spent time in mixed practice in the South West and then in 2001 he returned to Langford for a short time as a resident in small animal orthopaedics. It was here that he developed his interest in arthroscopy and joint disease and has subsequently worked with world recognised experts in the field from the Gulf Coast Vet Specialists in Houston, Texas. He gained the RCVS certificates in Veterinary Radiology in 2002 and Small Animal Surgery in 2007, is published in peer reviewed journals, presented internationally and runs Ridge Referrals in South Devon, providing a full time referral service in small animal orthopaedics and arthroscopy in conjunction with the Linhay Veterinary Rehabilitation Centre. His particular interests are in patella luxation and functional canine shoulder injuries.
